Description

The Role

 

We are looking for a star firmware engineer, ideally with experience in finance or security to join our Paris office. Working closely with the rest of the team, you will contribute to the development of YellOS, our secure firmware. Yello is an international start-up founded by two expert entrepreneurs. We have developed a next generation marketing platform, using our own open Android tablets that include universal bank card acceptance. We’re looking for stars to help us further build out our unique platform that enables merchants to deliver a great customer experience, build and maintain customer relationships and accept all forms of payments. Responsibilities

 

  • Develop high-quality C code in a real-time embedded environment.
  • Specify, design and implement functionality and behaviors of the embedded system.
  • Build procedures for tests and qualification. Design the software architecture and firmware implementation on hardware through integration, test and high-volume manufacturing.
  • Hands-on hardware bringup, system debugging and code optimization.
  • Make performance and optimization trade-offs to meet product requirements.
  • Provide technical support for certification.

 

Requirements

 

  1. Full professional proficiency in English.  Yello is a bilingual English/French company, TOEIC 900+ level or equivalent required.
  2. Team spirit, flexibility, results oriented, ready to do whatever it takes (WIT).
  3. At least 6 years of expertise in C.
  4. Developing on Linux in a standard environment (Bash, Makefile, Git, Python, etc.).
  5. Experience with real-time OSs (FreeRTOS, ChibOS etc.).
  6. Experience in programming FPGAs with VHDL a plus.
  7. Test driven development.
  8. Ability to collaborate and communicate complex technical concepts.

 

Education

 

  • BS, MS or PhD in EE/CE/CS, or the equivalent in experience with evidence of exceptional ability.
